Eleven years of shipping production software — from architecture and CI/CD to the App Store listing.

I specialise in React Native for iOS and Android, backed by full-stack work in TypeScript, Node.js and Next.js. I've led projects across fintech, transportation, logistics, food delivery, health and business platforms — owning architecture, mentoring developers, and taking products through to production deployment.

03 — Case study

Mangan.ph — ordering food
from where you actually are.

Delivery in provincial Philippine cities breaks down at the address. Streets go unnamed, pins land on the wrong block, and riders call to ask where to go. The location flow had to carry the whole product.

Problem

Addresses in the region are unreliable. Customers couldn't describe where they were, and failed deliveries cost merchants orders.

Idea

Make the map the source of truth: search, pin, confirm, then add the human details a rider actually needs.

Design

A four-step flow with one decision per screen, a persistent confirm action, and plus-code fallback when the street has no name.

Build

React Native and Expo with Google Places autocomplete, reverse geocoding, and an offline-tolerant address store.

Ship

Expo CI/CD pipelines with staged releases to TestFlight and Google Play internal tracks.

Result

Saved addresses return to a home screen that already knows the customer's location — merchants nearby, ordering in two taps.
